Physics 30 - Feb 9

Today we learned about the difference between velocity and speed.  Velocity is a vector quantity and therefore requires a direction, speed is a scalar quantity and does not need direction.  We learned how to calculate velocity from a position time graph.  We also did a complicated example where we pulled a lot of information from a position time graph.  This was example 5. Students had about 10 minutes left to work an Assignment 1.3.  Tomorrow we will look at acceleration and accelerated motion.
