Today in class we learned how to create a net ionic equation from a balanced chemical equation representing a double replacement reaction. This involved figuring out the products and their final states, balancing them, figuring out the overall ionic equation and then determining the ions that formed the precipitate. This allowed us to make a net ionic equation. Students then had the rest of the period to work on Assignment C15. We will go over this tomorrow.
This also completes the outcome on reactions for us. Tomorrow we will begin to look at Math and the Mole.
