Welcome to the winter break everyone!! We will have a little bit of work to do over the break. Today we learned about the different types of chemical reactions and how to identify them. We also learned how to predict the products of a reaction based on what type of reaction it is. If you can figure out the type of chemical reaction based on the reactants, then determining the products is easy as long as you know how to make chemical formulas. That is why nomenclature was so important.
Over the break, students should complete Assignments C12 and C13. As well, review nomenclature. There are extra worksheets in the chemistry folder for those of you that want more practice. When we get back, we will learn about determine whether or not a reaction will occur.
