Physical Science 20 - Feb 24
Today in class we went over Assignment C14 after I checked it. We then started to learn how to predict the products of a double replacement reaction. This involved determining the states that the final products will be in as well as understanding what aqueous means. We learned about dissociation of soluble ionic compounds as well as a couple of different type of chemical reactions. The overall ionic equation and the net ionic equation. These notes were all covered on slides 52-62 of the Chemical Reactions powerpoint. Students were given slide 62 as homework, which involved determining the solubility of some ionic compounds using a solubility table. We will go over this tomorrow.
