Physical Science 20 - September 2

The second day of the course and we already got started today.  We finished going over the course outline today, talked about classroom expectations and procedures and then got started on chemical nomenclature.  This should be a review from the chemistry unit you learned in Science 10.  That means we will be going pretty fast through this information.  In Period 2, we learned how to name elements, common substances and molecular compounds.  This was all covered on slides 1-25 from the Nomenclature Powerpoint.  We are little behind in Period 3, only getting to slide 12  We will finish molecular compounds on Tuesday and start learning how to work with ionic compounds.
